Meet The Bubble’s Head Honchos
Chris “Frenchie” Smith founded the Bubble in 1998, and has had the honor of working with international and local acts such as Jet, The Toadies, The Dandy Warhols, The Front Bottoms , and The Datsuns. In 2008, he was nominated for a Grammy for his work on the Lost Bayou Ramblers’ Live À La Blue Moon album. To the studio, Frenchie brings a depth of knowledge, a passion to get the best out of every artist’s performance, and if you visit on the right day, his dog Agnes.
Prior to joining the Bubble as a partner in 2002, Alex Lyon put in time at renowned studios across the Northeastern US, including Supersonic Studios in Cambridge, Massachusetts and New York City’s historic Skyline Recording Studios of Steely Dan fame. As The Bubble’s senior mastering engineer, Alex works to frame songs to feel just the way artists intend, in perfect balance from start to finish across audio systems and media formats.
